To mark United Nations Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day (SME Day), informative events titled MontEDIH SME Day – Digital and Green Transformation for SMEs were successfully held in Bijelo Polje and Bar. The events brought together representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, the startup community, the public sector, and business support organizations.

Organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, MontEDIH, and the European House in Bijelo Polje and Bar, the event aimed to introduce the business community to the opportunities provided by MontEDIH—the first European Digital Innovation Hub in Montenegro—as well as concrete services that can contribute to the digital and green transformation of business operations.

Through presentations, practical workshops, and individual consultations, participants had the opportunity to learn about the services available to them within MontEDIH. These range from digital maturity assessments and digital skills development, to testing new technologies before investing, as well as accessing advanced research infrastructure and funding opportunities for innovation.

Predstavnici Privredne komore Crne Gore, Univerziteta Donja Gorica, Naučno-tehnološkog parka Crne Gore, Instituta savremenih tehnologija Crne Gore i Center for Finance predstavili su usluge koje njihove institucije realizuju u okviru MontEDIH-a, sa posebnim fokusom na praktičnu podršku kompanijama u različitim fazama digitalne transformacije.

Tanja Radusinović from the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro focused on the Concierge Service, which serves as the primary point of contact for companies interested in digital transformation. By assessing needs and digital maturity levels, this service helps users identify the solutions they need most and connects them with a partner within MontEDIH who can provide the appropriate expert support.

Luka Laković from the University of Donja Gorica presented the possibilities offered by High-Performance Computing (HPC), which gives companies access to advanced computing resources for processing large amounts of data, developing innovative products, and implementing artificial intelligence into business processes.

Sanja Popovac from the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro presented the Digital Transformation Bootcamp, a programme designed for companies seeking to improve their business operations through the development of innovative digital solutions with the support of expert mentors. Participants were also introduced to the Bootcamp for Fostering Creativity, Innovation and Understanding of Startup Entrepreneurship, aimed at developing innovation and entrepreneurial competencies.

Milena Ljutica from the Institute of Contemporary Technologies of Montenegro presented the Test Before Invest service, which enables companies to test the application of advanced digital technologies before making an investment, including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and other advanced solutions. The service also includes digital skills development programmes through specialised training.

A special segment of the event was dedicated to an open dialogue with business representatives regarding the challenges they face in the digital transformation process, as well as individual consultations where participants received recommendations on services that best suit their companies' needs.

By organizing these informative days in Bijelo Polje and Bar, MontEDIH has continued to bring the opportunities of modern digital technologies closer to the domestic economy, connecting companies with expertise, innovation infrastructure, and partners that can contribute to their sustainable growth and increased market competitiveness.

MontEDIH is co-funded by the European Union, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro. It is implemented by a consortium of eight partners: the University of Montenegro, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, the Institute of Contemporary Technologies of Montenegro, the University of Donja Gorica, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, the Center for Finance, and ICT Cortex.
