Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Provides Free Support for Green and Digital Transformation of 130 Companies
As many as 130 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Montenegro have the opportunity to receive free expert support to improve their operations—ranging from transitioning to a green and circular business model to assessing digital maturity and developing a digital transformation strategy—through the services of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro within the MontEDIH project. Additionally, specialized workshops are planned to train 150 participants, aiming to strengthen their capacity to understand the importance, methodology, and process of digital transformation.
These services are intended for companies seeking to utilize resources more efficiently, introduce green and circular practices, assess the current level of digitalization of their business, and map out clear next steps.
From the Existing Business Model to a "Roadmap" for Green Transformation
Support for transitioning from a linear to a circular business model and introducing green activities is available for 80 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
As part of this service, current business operations will be analyzed, opportunities for improvement identified, and concrete steps defined for implementing circular economy principles.
As a result of this process, each company will receive a "Roadmap" for green and circular transformation, complete with recommendations and guidelines for further action.
Digital Transformation Strategy for 50 Companies
Companies can also access a digital maturity assessment, enabling them to evaluate their current level of digitalization, identify areas for improvement, and set priorities for future development.
Based on this assessment, a Digital Transformation Strategy will be developed for 50 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, featuring recommendations, priorities, and an action plan tailored to the specific needs and capacities of each company.
In this way, companies receive not only an evaluation of their current state, but also concrete guidance for planning and executing their digital transformation.
Workshops for 150 Participants
Workshops for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises will also be organized as part of the support package, aimed at enhancing their capacity to understand the importance, methodology, and processes of digital transformation.
Through a practical and interactive approach, participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with business digitalization options and the steps necessary for successful digital transformation. The goal is to train 150 participants through these workshops.
Through the available services, companies can identify opportunities for business growth, use resources more efficiently, introduce green and circular practices, assess their level of digital maturity, define priorities for digital transformation, and receive expert recommendations along with a customized action plan.
These services are free of charge for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The MontEDIH project is co-financed by the European Union (50%) through the Digital Europe Program 2021–2027, the Government of Montenegro provides 45%, while the remaining 5% is financed by the project partners.
Since part of the value of the free services provided to companies constitutes support from national public funds, 45% of the service value is recorded as de minimis aid, in accordance with the rules for granting small-value state aid. For the company, this involves no out-of-pocket cost; rather, the corresponding amount is recorded as received de minimis support.
Because the number of beneficiaries is limited, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro invites interested micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to take advantage of this expert support and take a decisive step toward a greener, more digital, and more competitive business.
