Event description: The aim of the workshop was to familiarize participants with available national and international grant programmes for SMEs and to enable them to identify opportunities, prepare high-quality documentation, and apply successfully. The workshop covered:
- Principles of selecting grant calls: a realistic approach, focus on smaller calls, and alignment with the organization’s core activity
- The role of EDIH centres and advisory support services: identification of investment needs, development of business plans, project management, and preparation of payment claims
- Overview of specific calls: the SME Competitiveness Improvement Programme of the Ministry of Economic Development, registration of an innovative project under the Law on Innovation Activity, the EMBRACE project, and tax incentives for reinvesting profits in agriculture
- Examples of successful projects and analysis of support intensity for different components of grant programmes
Expected training outcomes include:
- Understanding different types of grant programmes available to SMEs in Montenegro
- Ability to identify relevant calls in line with one’s business activity
- Knowledge of application procedures and project management
- Information on advisory support services provided by MontEDIH
- Concrete examples of successful projects as references for future applications
