MontEDIH SME Day in Bijelo Polje and Bar: Opportunities for Digital and Green Transformation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Presented

To mark United Nations Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day (SME Day), informative events titled MontEDIH SME Day – Digital and Green Transformation for SMEs were successfully held in Bijelo Polje and Bar. The events brought together representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs, the startup community, the public sector, and business support organizations.

Organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, MontEDIH, and the European House in Bijelo Polje and Bar, the event aimed to introduce the business community to the opportunities provided by MontEDIH—the first European Digital Innovation Hub in Montenegro—as well as concrete services that can contribute to the digital and green transformation of business operations.

Through presentations, practical workshops, and individual consultations, participants had the opportunity to learn about the services available to them within MontEDIH. These range from digital maturity assessments and digital skills development, to testing new technologies before investing, as well as accessing advanced research infrastructure and funding opportunities for innovation.

Representatives from the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, the University of Donja Gorica, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, the Institute of Contemporary Technologies of Montenegro, and the Center for Finance presented the services their respective institutions implement within MontEDIH, focusing specifically on providing practical support to companies at various stages of digital transformation.

Tanja Radusinović from the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro focused on the Concierge Service, which serves as the primary point of contact for companies interested in digital transformation. By assessing needs and digital maturity levels, this service helps users identify the solutions they need most and connects them with a partner within MontEDIH who can provide the appropriate expert support.

Luka Laković from the University of Donja Gorica presented the possibilities offered by High-Performance Computing (HPC), which gives companies access to advanced computing resources for processing large amounts of data, developing innovative products, and implementing artificial intelligence into business processes.

By organizing these informative days in Bijelo Polje and Bar, MontEDIH has continued to bring the opportunities of modern digital technologies closer to the domestic economy, connecting companies with expertise, innovation infrastructure, and partners that can contribute to their sustainable growth and increased market competitiveness.
